At Victorian Ceramics, we manufacture a full range of hearth tiles in traditional sizes and colours. By using original glaze recipes and by following traditional glazing techniques, we accurately recreate the depth, vibrancy, and character of original Victorian tiles.
In addition, each hearth tile is hand-glazed individually. As a result, subtle variations in shade and tone naturally occur, which is a defining characteristic of genuine Victorian ceramics. Because of this, our deep, glassy glazes produce a rich colour intensity that remains true to the originals.
Similarly, like authentic Victorian hearth tiles, our tiles have sharp, clean edges. This allows for installation with minimal or no grout lines. Over time, the glazes naturally craze, thereby enhancing the antique appearance and authenticity of the tiles.
Traditionally, hearths were laid using small-format tiles in a single colour. However, all decorative tiles in our range are also suitable for hearth tile designs, giving greater flexibility in layout and style.
Finally, our hearth tiles are suitable for use in and around an open fire or a wood-burning stove.
Hearth Tile Sizes
